A Few Recents

I don't really have too much to write, but have a few recent photos to share and since we have TWO zoo memberships now, expect to see a lot of zoo photos for the next year ;)

This is one of my favorites (below)
Eliot & his "Diggah." This digger was parked at the Stone Zoo for months and just yesterday made it's disappearance. This is going to make trips to Grandma & Papa's house and trips to the zoo a lot less satisfying.
And one of Milo :)

The Zoo!

The weather this past Tuesday was supposed to be "BEAUTIFUL," as I told my Nana; a high of 68 degrees and mostly sunny. We planned a zoo trip! Eliot & I were going to meet Nana & Papa and Aunt Janine for a nice, leisurely stroll through the zoo, basking in the beautiful weather. Once again, the unreliable weather men were, well, unreliable. It rained off and on all day. We made it about half way through the zoo before we finally conceded to Mother Nature. Even though we only got through half, we all had a fun time.

Eliot was so excited all day to see Nana. He even wanted Nana to carry him the whole time we were at the zoo. We all know that Nana would love nothing better than to carry him (and never put him down,) but at 26 pounds, that's a tough job for even me!

Here are some photos from the day :)

First Shots with The New Camera

So I managed to get a new camera this week! It's been something I've been thinking about for a while now. In the short time that I had my old camera, I definitely outgrew it. If I am going to be doing the photography thing as a career, then I needed a professional series camera. I felt odd about shooting client's photos with a consumer level camera. Although, I probably know more about that camera than 90% of consumers, I still felt like I needed a camera to line up with what I was going to be doing with it and if I'm going to be shooting weddings (a ONE time event (hopefully)), then I need to be shooting with the best of the best.... and now I have one of the best cameras one could shoot a wedding with. I'll be the first to admit that it is more camera than I can handle right now, or even deserve, but I fully intend to grow into it!

Here are just a couple of shots with my new love :)
